Stewardship

Leader: Tania Betts

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.  1 Timothy 6:17–19 (KJV)

Mission Statement

The Highpoint Baptist Church Stewardship Ministry's mission is to challenge members to be Christ-centered stewards of the resources entrusted to us and to glorify God by making the best use of our resources so we can serve the Lord with excellence and passion.

Vision Statement

The Stewardship Ministry develops and implements training and initiatives that will: first, encourage each and every member of our congregation to offer Time, Talent and Treasure in thanksgiving and to the glory of God; and second, increase the members understanding and support of the service and financial obligations of Highpoint  Baptist Church through biblical principles and financial models.

Goals:

To be biblically literate: We want the membership to know what the Scriptures say about time, talent and treasures—where it is and how to do it.

To have Christ-centered stewardsTo be Christ-centered and know what God has purposed the membership to do with their time, talents, and treasures.

To encourage planned giving: Not just so we can increase the budget or bring in more money, but because God does something in people's lives when they allow Him to change their perspective about money.
